Portuguese-American Poets of Azorean Descent.
Three Portuguese American writers read and discuss their poetry -- New Bedford native Nancy Vieira Couto, Fall River native Thomas J. Braga, and Provincetown native Frank X. Gaspar. Christopher Larkosh, professor of Portuguese-American studies at UMass Dartmouth, will moderate. This free program has been organized by the Massachusetts Foundation for the Humanities in partnership with the Center for Portguese Studies and Culture at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth as part of an ongoing series of programs on contemporary Portuguese-American literature.
